- Emblem of the city of Reims, the Smiling Angel, nicknamed Le Sourire de Reims, is the most famous statue in Reims Cathedral (Notre-Dame de Reims).
- The original statue was sculpted between 1236 and 1245.
- Therefore it was present on the facade of Reims Cathedral, the place of coronation for most French monarchs, during the coronation of Philip III (called the Bold, le Hardi), son of Saint Louis and Marguerite de Provence, on 30 August 1271.
- The Smiling Angel lies at the north portal of the west facade of Reims Cathedral, France.
