- The Wiener Riesenrad is a 64.75-metre (212 ft) tall Ferris wheel at the entrance of the Prater amusement park.
- It was built by the English engineer Walter Bassett Bassett as part of the celebration of the 50 year jubilee of Emperor Franz Joseph.
- Built in 1897, the Viennese giant wheel held the world record height between 1920 and 1985. It is the oldest Ferris wheel still active.
