- The Singapore Sling is a gin based cocktail, meant initially as a woman’s drink.
- Created in the 1910s by Mr. Ngiam Tong Boon, a Chinese bartender of the Long Bar in Raffles Hotel, Singapore.
The original recipe of the Singapore Sling would be mixing two measures of gin with one of cherry brandy and one of orange, pineapple and lime juice.
